Beginning Yoga
Any beginning level class is appropriate for a new student or any student who would like to work on the basics. These classes move slowly, work with traditional postures and explain accurate alignment and breathing, as well encourage everyone to learn to work at their own level by listening to their body. Emphasis is also placed on core strength, flexibility, balance, and concentration. Beginning yoga will prepare you take other styles of classes, when you are ready.
Hot Yoga
The postures in this heated yoga class are derived from Bishnu Gosh's classic set of yoga asana. This sequence is designed to restore and maintain range of motion, physical alignment and to stimulate the vital organs and systems of the body. The room is heated to keep the muscles supple, prevent injury and to aid in detoxification of the body. Great for Yogis of all levels who are willing to work hard and sweat!
Power Yoga
Power yoga is designed to be accessible yet challenging, and will help guide you towards transformation by sculpting and toning your body and mind. They follow a pattern of sequencing that allows for many modifications and variations that serve the needs of varying levels of experience. There is an also an emphasis on building strength of the upper body and core muscles.
Intro Series
These classes are designed to introduce beginners to the basics of Yoga, including alignment, basic asanas, pranayama, and some guided meditation. After an Intro Series you can safely and confidently move on to any of the Beginner, most Level 1, and Slow Yoga classes offered at our Studio. The Intro Series classes are limited to 12 students so you need to sign up in advance. The Intro Series can be purchased alone or as a package that includes a mat and water bottle. Meditation
Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. Recently, modern research shows that meditation helps reduce stress, depression, fatigue, pain, and anxiety. Everyone can practice meditation. These sessions offer a quiet place for stepping out of the fast-paced life in which we live into a more calm, clear, and recharged state of mind. These classes are a guided visualization meditation.
Pilates
This core workout is sure to leave you feeling victorious! Tawnee Melton has been teaching Pilates for the past 5 years. With her skillful guidance and great sense of humor you will see the benefits of these tough workouts fast! A great balance to any yoga or exercise program. This is a challenging class but still suitable for all levels.
Qi Gong
Qi Gong is the art of effortless flow. All are welcome and any body will enjoy these gentle flowing movements. We will be working with with breath and movement to harmonize and rejuvenate our bodies and minds. Simple moving stretches will clear your body of tension before we start the flowing exercises to balance and rejuvenate our channels and organs. We will be working with the 5 elements, a simple set of exercises you can learn and take away as a tool to keep you balanced, centered and full of life. Qi Gong is always suitable for beginners through advanced. This is another practice that is great for all levels and abilities.
Yoga
Most of our standard yoga classes are in vinyasa style, which is a creative system of practicing asana, linking breath to dynamic, flowing movement. The result is a smooth, flowing class that becomes almost dance-like. Classes build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration. Come prepared to light your inner fire, cleanse your body, be inspired, and have fun. Recommended for students with some knowledge of basic postures and alignment. Yoga in the Park
Add a unique twist to your weekend in Leavenworth! This guided walk through Waterfront Park stops at scenic spots for yoga on the shores of the Wenatchee River. Class meets at the studio, and all levels are welcome. No mat is needed. Please bring a water bottle and walking shoes.Pregister here.
